About the race

A must do event for ultra running enthusiasts, this is 39.3 miles of pure unspoiled beauty and enduring terrain. We introduced the Ultra Marathon in 2004 which has proved an enormous success and has attracted a loyal following of long distance runners from across the world. The new route (introduced for the 2023 race) takes out a 10 mile section on the N59 road, which is replaced by an out and back section to Rosroe Pier with the most breathtaking scenery along the way. There is also a new very challenging hilly section, but what goes up must come down!
